Tips for your Site

1. IF SOMEONE SIGNS YOUR GUESTBOOK (OR ANY WHERE ON YOUR SITE) ADD THEM TO YOUR FRIENDS LIST. VISIT THEIR SITE, AND BE SURE TO RETURN THE FAVOR. _____________________________________________________

2. FIND A LONG FRIENDS LIST ON SOMEONES SITE, AND START VISITING. SIGN GUESTBOOKS AND LET PEOPLE KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THEIR SITES. DON'T BE RUDE, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEIR SITE, JUST LEAVE. DON'T BOTHER SIGNING ANYTHING.

YOU MIGHT OUGHT TO LEAVE A NOTE *OR MANY NOTES* THROUGHOUT YOUR SITE LETTING PEOPLE KNOW WHY THE FEW UPDATES, THEY WILL UNDERSTAND. _____________________________________________________

5. SET UP LOTS OF ADVERTISING PAGES ON YOUR SITE. SUCH AS RECOMMENDED, TOP 10, SOTW, AFFILIATES, ETC. PEOPLE LIKE TO ADVERTISE THEIR SITES, OR ELSE YOU WOULD NOT BE READING THIS RIGHT NOW. SO HELP THEM GET ADVERTISED, AND OTHERS WILL HELP YOU. _____________________________________________________

6. NEVER STEAL FROM ANOTHER SITE, IT MAKES YOUR SITE LOOK BAD. 9. IF YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CREATIONS, PUT YOUR NAME ON EVERYTHING YOU CREATE. NOW IM NOT SAYING PUT IT DEAD CENTER OF THE CREATION OR NO ONE WILL WANT TO USE IT. BUT PUT YOUR SITE NAME. I HAVE ALSO VISITED ALOT OF SITES JUST BECAUSE I SEEN THEIR NAME ON A CREATION. _____________________________________________________

10. BE SURE TO ADD LOTS OF PEOPLE TO YOUR FRIENDS LIST. I HAVE SET UP A POLL RECENTLY AND ONE QUESTION WAS HOW DID YOU FIND MY SITE, AND 85% SAY FRIENDS LISTS. SO BE FRIENDS WITH ALOT OF PEOPLE. IT WILL BE A GOOD TURN OUT.

11. NEVER NEVER EVER PASSWORD PROTECT YOUR SITE. I HAVE HAD LOTS OF SITES IN MY FAVORITES FOLDER. AND WHEN I NEED TO GO TO THAT SITE I WANT TO BE ABLE TO GO TO IT, NOT WAIT AND KEEP CHECKING BACK TO SEE WHEN THEY MIGHT FINALLY OPEN AGAIN. IF I HAVE A SITE IN MY FAVORITES AND I FIND IT PASSWORD PROTECTED ONCE, THEY ARE REMOVED FROM MY FAVORITES. WHEN I NEED SOMETHING I NEED IT THEN NOT WHEN THEY OPEN THE SITE BACK UP. _____________________________________________________

12. WELL IM SURE YOUR ASKING WHAT ABOUT UPDATES, HOW DO I UPDATE MY SITE THEN. ITS ABOUT 10-15 MINS AND THEY SEE THE COMPLETED PAGE. ITS WELL WORTH IT! AND HALF THE TIME IM SURE THEIR NOT EVEN ON THE PAGE IM EDITING. IN THAT WHOLE 10-15 MINS IM EDITING ANYWAY. _____________________________________________________

How to save a Stardoll picture

A lot of people asked me how i save the stardoll pictures. It is sooo easy, i will explain it now for you. So your first step is to know which pic or part of your Medoll, Suite, Scenery, Album, etc. you want to have/save. So above is my example, we want to have this picture from my Suite. Its soo easy.

You see here the pc keyboard (tastatur). When you want to save a picture, then just click on the print symbol (Druck-taste).

Find a button on your keyboard that says 'Print Screen' or 'Print Scr'. Push that button

Then push that button.

Open your Paint. Every standard computer has the paint application. Go to Paint and 'Edit', then 'Paste'. This should make the picture appear on your canvas. If it doesn't, repeat the step before (push button again).

Now your picture is in paint. Before you save the picture you have to cut the picture. Crop the image so you can only see the picture you want.

Use this Toolbar to cut the picture like you want.

Then click 'Save' and use your picture any way you want!

And now you have this picture :D

New Styling Studio feature

Hello, i found out a new cool feature for Styling studios. I made a new Styling studio for my Medoll and then i found this. When you have made your Styling studio, you find on the right side "For your Blog". You can now PUT YOUR STYLING STUDIOS IN YOUR BLOG & Webpage. Just click on Full Size, Medium or Small. Then copy the HTML Code and put it in your blog. Have fun with it.

This is so cool. Now you can play in my blog with my MEDOLL.

Your Poll results

I had 2Polls in my blog maryam-jan.blogspot.com, where you could vote. The first Polls question was: Which is your fave brand on Stardoll. 40% of you voted for bisou. So bisou is your favourite brand. The brand Stardoll and Pretty in Pink arewith 30 % votes on the second place. And on the third place are Rio, Voile and Fudge.

The result really surpriced me.

The second Polls question was "Which is your fave brand? - DKNY; LE; Vivienne Tam, Antidote or Philosophy!"

72% (more then the half of you) voted for DKNY. Good choise, i also love DKNY. On the second place is LE with 52 %. And Antidote, Philosophy and Vivienne Tam have all 27 % votes (third place). You could vote for more things (multipli choise).

So good results. I make now the new polls.

Vivienne Tam - Closed for renovation

Yes, its ture. Vivienne Tam is closed for a renovation. I am so lucky, that i bought today morning most of the Vivienne Tam collection and Elle stuff fr about 180 stardollars. I want to make a V. room. So to be continued. I am excited of the new colllection.

New Storage feature

There is a new button on your storage box. Just press the button and all items in the room will end up in your storage. So this is a very good idea, everything goes fast now. But be careful, because you could push accidentally the button and you're room which you have putton down a lot of work on becomes empty.

Twitter - A new feature

Now you can connect your Twitter to Stardoll! Just go to your Mypage.

I really dont know what twitter is.

Retro Redux Styled Outfits

The new Theme on Stardoll is RETRO REDUX. Therefore is also the Retro doll. I love the style of this clothes, i want to have it. Retro is a term used to describe, denote or classify culturally outdated or aged trends, modes, or fashions, from the overall postmodern past, but have since that time become functionally or superficially the norm once again. Retro fashion is a clothing style which consists in wearing clothes commonly used in the past. This way of clothing often includes garments and accessories that are characteristic of those times and many people use them in an exaggerated way and in combination with current clothing. Examples are: leather handbags from the 50s, "bell jeans", big sunglasses, funky jackets (commonly Adidas Classics) and shoes, small neckties, sport equipment, etc.

SPOILER - Starplaza archive !!!

When i played on stardoll i mentioned on the start bpage this little button which says "Archive New Shop". Wow, i thought stardoll has again a new shop. So i have to check it out.

This is the STARPLAZA ARCHIVE. I love the background, it looks like it is in the cellar of the starplaza. It looks big and intersting. Then there are the cloths, nothing higher then 9 stardollars. The clothes are a little bit compared to Retro Redux, they are about earht, enviroment and peace. Again Hippie-Style.

See here the new Shop. Do you like it? I eman last week we had the new DIY shop, then yesterday Philosophy, then RETRO Redux and now the archive. Stardoll, dont hurry up. go slowly. I mean that is too much in little time. I havnt the overview of everything. I cant decide what to buy. I dont like it, that every week is something new. For example there are new funritures, you save money and buy it and 1 day later there are more newer stuff than you bought yesterday.

Get the "Free" neckless

So there were a lot of gossips how to become this unique neckless. I tried it out. I bought the "Green with Envi!" bag in the starplaza and then i went to my Suite to check out if it is true. Then there were a shopping bag and a shoping packet, although i only bought 1 thing. Then i clicked on both and i had my bag for 5 stardollars and the FREE NECKLESS.

So it is true. But you cant really say its free, you have to buy the bag before.

So when you want this neckless its an god investigation. Besides the bag is also for non-superstars.
