When i saw that Callie.Stardoll is Covergirl, i was very confused. Callie isnt a real Medoll, she belongs to the Stardoll staff. Stardoll says about her: "As Editor -at-Large, Callie not only writes site news for Stardoll Magazine, she organizes the poll questions and quizzes, runs Callie's Competitions and posts all the latest news about what's happening on Stardoll: her particular areas of interest are our Real Celebs, Real Brands and new features on the site.".
So maybe she has a lot of visitors & fans who voted for her or Stardoll just made her Covergirl. I mean she has so many advantages, because she can get a lot of stuff for free. So, why not.
